Kalispell Senior Photographers – Wayne Murphy, JMK Photography

Our senior photography sessions are starting to get cold!  Rain, hail and snow put a bit of a damper on our first attempt at senior portraits for Kelsey so we headed inside for a few photos and agreed to meet again in a couple of days when the weather was supposed to be a little better and get some outside shots with the fall colors.

Kelsey is such a beautiful girl on the inside and out…sweet as can be and a delight to photograph!  She is thinking about continuing school in Missoula and considering a future in nursing or perhaps in hair and makeup artistry.  Kelsey I hope that your senior year is fantastic.  I had such a great time during our photo session, thank you!

Kat was a dream to photograph…she was just her wonderful self.  She laughed a bunch and let herself have a great time and was able to forget about the fact that it was freezing cold out (32 degrees) for most of the session.  Prints are available here

Senior Portraits Kalispell Montana

I need to do more senior portraits with a fashion flair, they are a blast!

I met Briana and her mom Bettina just a couple of weekends ago, they were the lucky winners of a free portrait session gift certificate from the Stillwater Christian School fund-raising auction last fall and decided to use it for Briana’s senior portraits.  We started out taking a few photos around her home in Lakeside and then she wanted to take a quick drive around the corner to where she kept her horse and take a few photos there.  I had been eyeing the Porsche in the garage and asked if we could bring it and maybe use it for a few photos, I just couldn’t pass up that opportunity should there be one!  Once we arrived at the stable Briana was obviously in her territory.  I could tell through the lens instantly that this is where she was comfortable, relaxed and felt like herself, an important thing to consider if you are reading this and thinking of having some photos taken, think about where you feel your best and try to have the photos taken there.  It makes a huge difference!  Once we got close to the end of our session I asked if we could do just a couple more with the Porsche, I think these were a bit more for myself than for Briana, just to satisfy my love for fashion and edgy flash style photography with a different look, but I hope you enjoy them none the less.

Briana, thank you so much, I had a great time and I hope you enjoy the photos! ~ Wayne
